Publishing Your Photos

Save to your computer
When you create a gallery it will always be saved to your computer. A gallery consists of an HTML file and a subfolder containing all the thumbnails and secondary HTML pages.

Click the browse button and enter the name of your gallery file.  This will be something like FamilyPhotos.htm or MyGallery.html. You want to make sure that the file name ends in either .htm or .html this means that the file is a web document and can be opened in a web browser.

Save to my website

If you would like to copy your files to a website check the box that says Save this gallery to my website. This will allow you to enter a web address, user name and password.

Your FTP address will depend on your website. Usually the address is some variation of the website name. For example if your site is thumbnail-software.com your website FTP address may be something like:

Also enter your user name and password. If you're not sure about your server information or user name and password contact your service provider or check your documentation.

After entering your information click the browse button to choose the location on your website where you will place your photos. Click on a folder to expand the folder and see sub-folders.

Some website will require you to place web files in a special folder, such as HTML or docs. It is recommended that you create a new folder for each new gallery. After creating the folder select it and click OK

Send an email announcement
When you select this option Magic Gallery will open up an email for you to fill in when it finishes creating your gallery. Don't worry Magic Gallery never sends an email without your knowledge.

Once you are done with publishing options Click Next.
