Need a web host?

Our software will run on 98% of all web hosts. If you are using Magic Gallery just make sure that you have FTP access. If you are using our mailing list software we recommend you check if your host supports PHP and MySQL in their hosting package..

Typical small family hosting packages generally cost from $4-$10 per month. Small business hosting usually range from $10-$20/month. You can always upgrade so I recommend starting low and adding more as you need it. You may be able to find free hosting but be aware that these plans usually have limitations and may not allow you to do much. There are budget web plans for a few dollars a month that will wor without any bells or whistles:

 

 

Once you find a web host that you like you need to register the domain and sign up for hosting for that domain.

The registration of the domain name and the hosting of the site are two sperate things. This can be confusing so think of it this way. When you register a domain it's like getting a license plate for a car. When you buy hosting it's like leasing a car. You need both. Some web hosts will offer to register your site for you. While this may be easier it will tie you to one web-host.

The registration gives you the .com name for your website.
The hosting gives you space on a server to store your website.
