2010:
Now we have 13,512 backers and about a $1 mill of funding for iOS based device.
What’s intriguing is it’s one of at least 3 products I’ve seen with very similar hardware design … unfortunately, Apple doesn’t really cater to the software features needed to make it a good interactive watch?!
I’ve posted about this subject before … “Interactive watches”.
Never used a Spot, but I did have something similar way back when … It was so bad, I returned it in a day, and don’t recall the product. lol.
To me people are just far more likely to use their mobile device as a “watch”, rather than another device on their wrist … right?
I stopped wearing a watch back in 2006 … I’d need a rarely compelling reason to start wearing one again (unless it’s a special occasion!).
Unless Apple adds the software or someone makes a really specific hacked OS, where’s the value add for a nano like device as a watch?
