Welcome to the Magic gallery template tutorial. This tutorial
describes how to create a basic template for Magic
Gallery using the FrontPage editor. You can also follow the same
basic steps if you are using a different editor as well.
1) Open the FrontPage Program:

2) Use FrontPage like a word processor. Enter text, logos and
images. Design what your gallery will look like but leave out the
gallery pictures, you'll add those later. The page design is completely up to
you, you can even open an existing webpage.

3) If you have added any logos or other images save this
page to your website now so that your images will get copied up to your
website. If you didn't place any images on your page you can skip this
step.
4) In every location where you want to have a thumbnail paste
the following text type the letters "TMB"

5) Click on
the HTML tab at the bottom of the page: You will now be able to see the
HTML for your page.

6) From the Edit Menu select the replace command and
enter the following
Find: TMB
Replace with: <%THUMBNAIL thumbnailsize=100 target="magicgallery" %>
Note: if you want the thumbnail to be larger enter a larger
thumbnailsize

Press the Replace All button
7) Now we save the template. File -> Save As...
Make sure to save to the template directory. This is usually located in
C:\Program Files\MagicGallery\Templates\
Name the file anything you want but make sure that it has the .HTM
extension.

The template will now show up in magic gallery if you restart the
program. You've just created a basic template. For more information on
making more complicated templates, previews and more see the template
developers kit.
