How It Started

Mayor Maker is free, and the first and only app to do both automatic checkins and checkouts on Foursquare. The app optimizes battery life on the iPhone through use of Geofencing Powered by Location Labs. Any developer, business, or retailer can use this Library to create automatic checkin and intelligent location services.

What Happened?

The application was critical to Mayor Maker’s move to the mobile market.  Raizlabs developed an app that introduced the new concept of checkouts, enabling users to make automatic shoutouts when leaving a venue. The app represented the beginning of applying intelligence to boost the utility, control and experience of location services for businesses and users alike.
