Help Information, Selecting Photos

Adding Files
You begin creating any gallery by selecting files. You can select files from anywhere on your computer and add them to your gallery. To add an entire folder of files click the "Add a folder button" to add individual photos from a folder press the "add pictures" button.

Magic Gallery supports standard internet files including JPG, GIF and BMP. If your photos are not added by using the add pictures buttons make sure that they are in one of these common formats.

If you are having trouble finding your photos you may want to check in the folder:
   My Documents\My Pictures\

If you have not yet scanned or copied your photos from your digital camera or scanner you will want to do this before using magic gallery. Follow the instructions from your camera or scanner to get the photos on your computer.

Reordering Photos
To change the order of your photos click on the photo to see a preview. Once you see the preview you can click the 'Move Up' and 'Move Down' buttons to re-arrange the order of your photos. Pictures that are listed at the top will be shown first in your online gallery. You can also use the menu Photos - Sort Photos to arrange all the photos in the order they where taken or the order they where modified.

Removing a picture
To remove a picture from your list, click the photo. Once you see the preview of your photo you can click the remove button to remove the photo from the list.

TIP: You can remove or reorder multiple pictures by selecting multiple photos in the list. Simply hold down the CTRL key to select multiple files.

Rotate your photos
To rotate a photo select the photo and from the Tools menu choose the command Rotate Photo Right or Rotate Photo Left. Rotation will work on any JPG file. The rotation is lossless meaning that you can rotate the photo without changing the quality of the photo.
